Whether you’re after bottomless Bloody Marys, avocado-on-toast or eggs with sunny-side-up views of the city, we’ve narrowed down the search with a list of the best brunch spots in South Kensington.
Please bear in mind, as London’s cafés and restaurants continue to reopen and adjust their opening hours, you may need to book in advance. But beyond that, brunch is back in style.
Ceru
Reframing the way you enjoy brunch is Ceru, a beautiful Levantine restaurant in South Kensington. Levantine food is food from the Levant – a place you’ll find in the heart of the Middle East. It’s a melting pot of flavours and a region of shared plates.
They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 5pm. Dishes include spicy lamb hash, falafel fritter, shakshuka with halloumi and homemade lemonades inspired by the eastern Meditteranean.

The Hunter’s Moon
The Hunter’s Moon is one of our favourite pubs in South Kensington, great for get-togethers and cosy weekends. Indulge in a Saturday brunch with dishes including black pudding, bacon and egg brioche bap, clarence court eggs on sourdough toast, full English breakfast or french toast.
As a quirky addition to your weekend brunch or lunch, The Hunter’s Moon will offer its signature Bloody Mary to share – DIY served in the centre of the table.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden
The Ivy Chelsea Garden is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful brunch spots in Chelsea, especially if you’re dining alfresco on a sunny day. The brunch menu is served weekends between 11am-4pm. Choose from Avocado and spinach Benedict with chips, truffle chicken sandwich or a full garden breakfast with halloumi, avocado, poached egg, kale, hollandaise, potato hash, mushrooms and beans.

Ffiona’s
Ffiona’s started serving brunch in 2010 and has quickly become a favourite with South Kensington locals. Boasting an impressive menu of french toast to steak and eggs with a wonderful variety of twists in between, such as the sweet potato and red chilli hash or buttermilk pancakes which are gluten-free, but still delightfully fluffy.
The interior itself is charming and chic, making for a pretty backdrop for your Sunday brunch antics.

Aubaine
Enjoy two courses from Aubaine’s free-flowing brunch menu and unlimited Prosecco, Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritz or Bellini for £36 per person. Available Saturday and Sunday, you can choose between granola and duck parfait for starters, and mains feature breakfast wraps and a Katsu breakfast of a pork patty, poached egg, kale, sriracha chilli sauce, Japanese mayonnaise and bonito flakes. Albeit, the baskets of flaky, buttery pastries alone are enough to impress most people.

Eggbreak
A little further out from South Kensington you’ll find Eggbreak. Sitting pretty in Notting Hill, the menu is expectedly an egg-central experience, with a wide variety of intriguing flavour inspirations. There’s the sweet corn fitters or the burrata and truffled scrambled egg which is sure to defeat any hunger pangs. If you fancy something sweeter, they also serve Nutella french toast or housemade granola. An eggcellent brunch spot if you ask us.

Colbert
Inspired by the great French pavement cafés, Colbert is an informal, neighbourhood rendez-vous at the heart of Sloane Square. Colbert serves a classic Parisian café menu from breakfast to morning coffee through to lunch, mid-afternoon snacks and full dinner service. Brunch is served from Monday to Sunday from 8am to midday and a whole chunk of the menu is dedicated to eggs – omelettes, scrambled and fried with a choice of accompaniments from mushrooms to ham or cheese. You can even treat yourself to the steak hash Colbert with a fried duck egg.

Harry’s
Italian charm, delicious unfussy food, refreshing drinks and stylish decor, Harry’s Dolci Vita is open from dawn till late. Right behind Harrods, it would be rude to not use the opportunity to hit the shops in Knightsbridge before brunch. Served between 11am to 5pm on weekends, you can choose between moreish dishes like crab benedict and chips, waffle and bacon, or Harry’s baked veal Milanese.

The Ivy, South Kensington
The Ivy Kensington Brasserie brings a relaxed yet sophisticated all-day dining restaurant on Kensington High Street. Open seven days a week, the hidden garden terrace provides the perfect setting for a spot of alfresco brunching.
Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm. The menu is arguably among the most eclectic in our list. Choose from the classics such as eggs royale and chips or hot buttermilk pancakes, or dive into the deep end with fish and chips and sweet potato curry.
