Halloween might look a little different this year due to Coronavirus, but you can still dig out kooky costumes and make the most of virtual or contact-free events. Plan your Halloween in London with our favourite bone-chilling (and socially distanced) attractions on and around October 31.
1. The Ghost Bus Tours
Looking for a hair-raising experience? This one-of-a-kind tour is London’s only comedy-horror theatre sightseeing experience. See the sites of murder, torture and execution, and learn about the ghosts of the UK and the grisly skeletons in the cupboards. The tour guides are classically trained actors, so you’ll be in safe hands. London has a lot of dark secrets to unearth during this 75-minute nonstop journey.

2. Dante’s In-Furlough
See the devil getting hitched at the immersive, socially distanced show, Dante’s In-Furlough. The Waterloo Vaults will comply by current recommended safety guidelines regarding Covid-19. This production is for eight attendees at a time. Face coverings are mandatory and audience members will have ample space to stand 2m away.

3. Online Murder Mystery
Be part of an online murder mystery by joining Inspector Rutherford from the comfort of your home on Zoom. Test your sleuthing skills in the 90-minute live murder mystery and see if you can crack the case before it’s too late.

4. Halloween at Lost Boys Pizza
This Halloween, Lost Boys Pizza will be throwing two costume balls, one on Friday 30th and the other on Saturday 31st. At £35pp, your ticket will include three cocktails, any pizza from their menu, and entertainment – all seated and socially distanced accordingly.
Best dressed wins a private screening with pizza for up to 4 guests – judged democratically by other diners.

5. Ghost Tours at Eltham Palace and Gardens
Do you believe in ghosts? Well if you fancy yourself brave, join storytellers at Eltham Palace as they guide you on a fear-inducing journey back to the 1930s.
Not a night for the faint-hearted, the tours are suitable for those aged 16+.

6. Sweet Treats – Flavourtown Bakery
The West London based Flavourtown Bakery has created a spooktacular collection of Halloween cupcakes and cakes for 2020. Famous for their fiendishly good treats, you can grab a box of cupcakes, or order a monster cake to mark the occasion.

7. Pumpkin Carving – The Prince Pub
The Prince is hosting a pumpkin carving evening, with carving equipment, a cocktail (or mocktail) and pumpkin-spiced popcorn included. The night will feature your favourite spooky tunes as the evening progresses, and whatever you do, be sure to wear your best costume. Kids are welcome too!

COVID-19 update
The government has announced further national measures to address rising cases of Coronavirus in England. Businesses selling food or drink (including cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants), social clubs, casinos, bowling alleys, amusement arcades (and other indoor leisure centres or facilities), funfairs, theme parks, adventure parks and activities, and bingo halls, must be closed between 10 pm and 5 am. This will include takeaways but delivery services can continue after 10 pm.
